Located in Cannes, on the iconic French Riviera, this apartment was entirely reimagined to revive the timeless elegance of Haussmannian interior architecture within a luminous Mediterranean setting. Our client wished to rediscover the codes of Parisian classicism while embracing the softness and natural light of the South of France. We designed a harmonious interior where refined moldings, noble volumes, and clean architectural lines meet a bright, serene palette. The result is a space that feels both majestic and calming, classical yet deeply contemporary.
The process
Inspiration & Artistic Direction
This project draws directly from Haussmannian architecture, reinterpreted through a lighter, more sun-filled Mediterranean sensibility. Classical proportions, strong architectural lines, and refined details were softened by a bright palette and an emphasis on natural light, characteristic of the Côte d’Azur.
Architectural Work & Custom Details
The volumes were redesigned to enhance perspectives and create a natural flow between spaces. Moldings, cornices, wall paneling, and architectural frames were custom-designed to recreate an authentic Haussmannian identity. Every detail was carefully considered to structure the space with elegance, without ever making it feel heavy.
Finishes & Atmosphere
The finishes were crafted with a sense of softness and restraint. Noble materials, subtle textures, and luminous tones create a calm, refined, and timeless atmosphere. Clean-lined furniture highlights the architecture rather than competing with it, achieving a perfect balance between classical heritage and contemporary comfort.
